We are looking for a passionate Senior Technical Program Manager to join a new startup team based in NYC that is focused on bridging traditional communications networks with next generation OTT solutions.  From Voice Messaging to Video Messaging and Group Chat, the Primo team is looking to seamlessly connect our subscribers with billions of people around the world.

As the Senior Technical Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing, driving, enforcing and owning the overall product development timeline, the GTM planning and launch of various phases and products in the Primo portfolio, and to ensure that cross functional team members have been tasked and committed to. This position works both independently on developing a general process that works well with the needs of the project/ business but works extremely collaboratively with the entire cross functional team in order to meet individual and team goals and milestones. 

The Senior Technical Program Manager will help put together a process in place that provides the structure needed for teams to succeed and have alignment yet provides the flexibility and agility needed for individuals and teams to collectively achieve aggressive milestones. This person will own the overall project timeline, manage product/ project requirements, and ensure that there is proper documentation/ handoff/ communication between Product/ Marketing/ Development/ Customer Care/ and TechOps team members.  
  • Gather business and functional requirements from key product and business stakeholders including external and/or internal customers and end-users. Ensure that business requirements are understood and translated correctly from product/ marketing to development teams.
  • Understand, digest, and translate requirements into technical specifications to build robust, stable, scalable, supportable solutions that work well between a range of complex systems and networks.
  • Deliver communications horizontally to cross functional organizations and team members on a daily basis and vertically up the chain to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Closely track deliverables/ timelines/ and ensure fulfillment and delivery of team commitments
  • Ensure timelines are met, teams are always aligned and in sync, and risks are either properly mitigated or effectively communicated
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in technology-related programs/roles and/or product management in a software or mobile applications environment
  • Demonstrated track record across numerous customer facing or enterprise focused programs
  • A strong grasp and understanding of software development, application architecture, communications call flows, and telephony infrastructure. 
  • Experienced with Agile and Scrum development methodologies·
  • Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional Product/ Web/ and QA specifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Must understand the concept of Sprint Planning/Story Grooming/and help teams to come up with aggressive but achievable timelines and deliverables
  • Strong experience using JIRA/Confluence/SQL/MS Project
  • Certified Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner preferred
  • Ability to travel 20-50%
