The Channel Development Director’s focus is to maximize existing channels and identify new opportunities to increase profitable growth through distribution channels. The role will develop, establish and manage on-going relationships between the Company and strategic partners in support of new and existing customer segments.

Big Picture

· Identify, pursue or expand strategic business opportunities, partnerships and strategic alliances to increase market share, net adds, revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s growth plan.

· Not only reach established performance targets but set the pace for goals.

· Provide leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence and implementation of strategic business objectives.

· Collaborate with our Marketing team to develop plans and strategic targets through internal teams and external partnerships.

· Conduct market analysis, monitor competitive activity, identify customer needs/trends/opportunities and generate product/service development ideas.

· Develop strategic direction from market information and create compelling market analysis recommendations

· Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets (geographic, demographic) and channels.​​​​​​​

Internal Communication and Follow-Through

· Works closely with cross functional internal leadership to ensure all projects meet internal and external requirements and specifications.

· Continually maintain the pace and performance of deliverables on all projects.

· Participates in the development and maintenance of processes to continually improve organizational effectiveness between internal organizations.

· Responsible for communicating new and/or ongoing channel or customer requirements and or changes to programs.

· Track key sales indicators and provide accurate, timely reporting of these indicators to the appropriate individuals at the corporate and area level.

· Ensure the sales dashboard/CRM is updated in a timely manner and that the information is current and accurate.

· Keep management team well informed regarding sales performance, opportunities, and customer satisfaction issues.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) or more years of Wireless Industry.
  • Five (5) or more years in progressively broader manager roles, preferably in a Business Development or Sales role.
  • Experience developing traditional (brick and mortar) and online sales channels.
  • Proven successful business development experience in a retail or field environment.
  • Prior success meeting and exceeding performance goals and requirements.
  • Strong account relationship and problem-solving skills, creative, driven, and self-motivated, with ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Skilled negotiator including the ability to take direction or resolve issues independently.
  • Excellent sales closing skills with the innate ability to overcome objections and obstacles throughout the sales process.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the instinctive ability to be adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong presentation skills and working knowledge on Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to travel including overnight travel.
